“Survival” comprises the environmental objects in the places without a human in Prince Island. Focusing on the traces which able to survive after human use in empty spaces reveals to highlight the spirit of a place or genius loci. This genius can be explained is an energy field, a sense of authenticity, and a special atmosphere that defines places according to cultural, ecological, and historical values. These two photo series underscore the spatiality and temporality of places by representing the spatial configurations as a tool.
